throat is messed up… live radio session tomorrow, help!?
Played a gig this evening, I have polyps in my sinuses and on my vocal cords and my throat is already a bit dodgy… I overdid it a little tonight, the pub was pretty packed and we ended up playing a lot of rock and stuff that is generally difficult to sing…
I’m playing an acoustic set live on a radio station tomorrow and my voice needs to be as good as it can be, but at the moment it’s completely gone and my throat’s pretty sore… I’m used to it, but I need to sound good tomorrow!
any suggestions as to how to ensure I’m sounding as good as possible tomorrow?!
Thanks xxx
I remember watching long time ago a movie or documentary about Madonna, in which she took every day tea with lemon and honey to protect and preserve her voice.

Drink plenty of water. Gargle with salt water, dont talk alot ( really helps) and try to avoid citris, and eat honey and lemon juice.

Drink boiled water with lemon, it helps the throat relax.

Make some hot tea and put 2 spoonfuls of whiskey, 2 spoonfuls of lemon juice and 2 spoonfuls of honey. Don’t strain your voice and suck on some cough drops ^_^
